WHAT WE ARE

4 Little Frogs is not a childcare centre, not a nursery, not a preschool, not a daycare.

It is une Maison d'Enfance — a private family home in Holland Village, 5 minutes from Orchard Road, where a small group of young children is welcomed while their parents work.

Think of it as the grandmother expatriate families don't have in Singapore — a warm home, a familiar face, and the feeling that your child is simply at home.

WHY WE EXIST

Expatriate families in Singapore don't have the family support network that local families rely on. No grandparents nearby, no extended family, no familiar community.

When both parents work full-time, young children spend most of their day at home with their Tita — their helper, their daily companion. Helpers play an essential role. Yet families sometimes need something more.

4 Little Frogs was created to be exactly that — a small community, experienced adults, and a calm home environment outside the family home. Une Maison d'Enfance.

Founded in 2011 and run by Bénédicte and her daughter Marine, 4 Little Frogs has supported expatriate families across Singapore for over 14 years.

Places are very limited. Visits are by appointment.

ABOUT US — WHO WE ARE

ORIGIN

4 Little Frogs was founded in 2011 by Bénédicte Martin Poulain, and is now run together with her daughter Marine.

Through years of running HELPSIMPLY— a domestic helper placement agency supporting expatriate families in Singapore — we observed the same reality again and again : when both parents work full-time, young children spend most of their day at home with their Tita.

Helpers play an essential role in family life. Yet families sometimes need something more — a small community, experienced adults, and a calm home environment outside the family home near Orchard Road.

4 Little Frogs was created to be exactly that. Une Maison d'Enfance — the complement to the Tita, and the support that expatriate families in Singapore don't have.

PERSONAL CONVICTION

4 Little Frogs was also born from a personal experience. Two of my children, Marine and Fiona, loved school from the very first day. My son Maxime found it much harder — the environment was too strict too soon, and that first experience left a mark that stayed with him for years.

That contrast taught me something I have never forgotten : the first experience outside the home is not the same for every child. How a child feels in those early days matters far more than what they are taught.

Everything we do at 4 Little Frogs comes from that conviction.

UNE MAISON D'ENFANCE

At 4 Little Frogs, children spend their day in a spacious private family home with a large tropical garden in Holland Village — 5 minutes from Orchard Road.

This is not a classroom, not a centre. It is a real home — with a covered terrace for outdoor play in all weather, a family kitchen where meals are prepared fresh every day, and quiet spaces where children can rest, explore and simply be.

The home has been thoughtfully designed to give young children the most beautiful possible environment for these early years.

OUR RHYTHM

We do not organise the children around a programme. We organise the house around the children.

Children welcomed

From 2 months — until they are ready to join a larger group. No transition forced by age.

Daily fee

SGD 150 per day · All meals and snacks included · No registration fee · No deposit required.

Included in every session

Fresh homemade meals · Daily snacks · Rest time · Garden play · Potty training support (enrolled children) · Student personal accident insurance (SGD 10/year).

Sessions

Half-day and full-day available. Schedule discussed at visit.

Places

Very limited. Because we work with a very small group of children, we are unfortunately not able to admit every child, and we carefully consider each applicant to ensure the right environment for everyone.
